Canadian Conference on Building Science and
Technology provides a forum for the presentation,
discussion and sharing of practical building science
research, knowledge and field experience. Traditionally,
the conference has brought together architects,
engineers, building scientists and researchers to
discuss building science principles and issues
governing the design, construction, repair, renovation
and operation of all building types.
The 14th Canadian Conference on Building Science
and Technology will hosted by the Ontario Building
Envelope Council.
Message from the Conference Chair
The Ontario Building Envelope
Council is proud to host the 14th
Canadian Conference on Building
Science and Technology. For almost
30 years, the CCBST series
has been a not-to-be-missed event
held in major centers across
Canada. In 2014, it is Toronto’s turn and OBEC will be
building on the amazing success of CCBST 13 in
Winnipeg this year, CCBST 12 in Montreal, CCBST 11
in Vancouver and those previous. CCBST 14 promises
to have over 100 peer reviewed papers submitted from
experts in design, construction, research, and rehabilitation
on topics including building innovation,
energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and building
envelope performance. As an added benefit to all
participants, there is also a trade show with space
for 80 to 100 booths for suppliers of building envelope
products, systems, and designs and associated
stakeholders.
2014 is not that far away and our organizing committee is coming together now to prepare for this event. If you are interested in participating as a member of the committee, as a sponsor, or as a volunteer on the floor during the conference, OBEC would love to hear from you.
