The possibilities opened by new materials for highperformance Building facade Systems are limitless.
This presentation will present some of the most advanced building materials available on the market to support a transitioning of the building sector towards high-performance, energy-efficient buildings.
Innovative building systems that incorporate new materials and nanotechnologies will also be discussed.
First, the focus will be on the critical role of building thermal storage using innovative market-ready products with phase change materials (PCMs).
In addition, products with granular and monolithic aerogels will be presented; these will include aerogel blankets and aerogel-plasters/gypsum boards.
Finally, cool, retroreflective, and thermochromic coatings will be examined.
