The tour will include the following new Lab areas:
- BUILDING SCIENCE LAB C-300:
Designed for materials testing, computer modeling, and assembly development all with the aim of improving the performance of ne and vintage building. - CLIMATE SIMULATOR C-246:
This facility can subject up to 2.4 m. wide by 3 m tall wall assemblies to a range of temperatures, relative humidities, rain wetting and pressure differentials (up to 2 kPa). - BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) LAB D-218:
This lab is equipped with LiDAR scanners which allows for more accurate 3D scans of buildings and sites and are used for for Point Cloud scans and BIM. - CARPENTRY LAB C 201:
This is one of two carpentry labs on campus and is equipped with a full complement of machinery and hand tools.
Following the tour, we will be treated to a series of brief presentations by George students on their ARGILE research project, highlighting the infrastructure involved, data monitoring and some of the results.
