As the construction industry adapts to manage thermal bridging through building enclosures, the width and depth of cladding choices can leave some perplexed with what works best – even more important, when you consider energy modelling and forecasting reliable outcomes. While ensuring your enclosure designs perform as they should, energy models should be in lock-step and provide accurate predictions based on enclosure designs with real-assembly-thermal values. A seasoned cladding technology expert, Kevin will cover a range of cladding systems (pros and cons), and most importantly, address how best air, moisture and thermal control layers do their job… properly! Thermal considerations for cladding systems covered in this presentation include conventional masonry and architectural precast; curtain wall and hybrid glass/aluminum fenestration systems; unitized panels such as metal, composite, and thin stone veneer; and exterior insulation and finish systems.
