Get up to speed on the new certification categories available from the Passive House Institute and learn about the PHIUS 2015 climate specific passive building standard. This presentation will outline the differences between the two standards to help you identify which standard is suitable for your project. The presentation will also cover several case studies that will focus on the building envelope strategies used to help achieve passive certification.

Patrick Andres is a professional engineer with a masters degree in building science from Ryerson University. He is a Certified Passive House Consultant and a director of the not for profit organization, Passive Buildings Canada. Patrick is currently working for Evolve Builders Group Inc, a pioneering green building company based in Guelph, Ontario.
